Cookbooks and Courgettes Prize Draw from VegBox Recipes

Posted by: VegBox Recipes

Courgettes are in their main season in the UK in June, July, August and September, and we’re celebrating their arrival on the Summer scene with some recipes and a book give-away, in partnership with publisher Dorling Kindersley.

We are giving away a copy of the recently published "Grown in Britain", which is endorsed by the Soil Association.

"Grown in Britain" is, in true DK tradition, accessibly encyclopaedic on the best of British food, whether that’s veggies, fruit, fish, or meat.

Containing over 200 recipes and some mouth-watering photographs, all you need to do to put your name in the hat for the random prize draw is send us your recipe for some kind of…

!COURGETTE CAKE!

to info@vegbox-recipes.co.uk.

Now we KNOW courgette cake exists, because we’ve eaten it. But we’ve yet to find a decent recipe.

So get submitting – the deadline for entries is Thursday 25th June 2009 and the draw will take place on Friday 26th June 2009.

To stimulate the taste-buds and the brain-cells, check out our special courgette feature article, the VegBox Recipes courgette soup instructions, and the courgette serving suggestions straight from the "Grown in Britain" cookbook.

If you’d simply like to buy your own copy of "Grown in Britain", we’ve lined up 20% off for all our readers. Simply add the book to the shopping basket on www.dk.com and enter the code VIPbonus at the checkout to receive your 20% discount. This offer will end on 31st December 2009, while stocks last.

Oh my! I am SO winning myself a copy of that book. It’s been on my wish list and my library don’t have it. I do indeed have the most AMAZING courgette cake recipe. So much so, I had to make one infront of DD to prove to her it had courgettes in it (she was green phobic at the time and would not believe that something so yummy had ‘goodness’ in it LOL!) Pick me, pick me!! …..

  2. You’d better send in that recipe then, Mrs G! And the rest of you … The gauntlet has been laid down … So get cookin!
