British Sandwich Week 2010 – The VegBox Recipes Round of Sandwiches

Posted by: VegBox Recipes

May 9th-15th is British Sandwich Week.

So in anticipation and celebration of the Great British Sandwich, we’re kicking off another VegBox Recipes Round of Sandwiches…

How It Works:

Use the comments field to let us know what your favourite sandwiches are, and to share any special sandwich recipes you hold dear. Open sandwiches, toasties and stuffed pittas are welcome!

We’ll get any really special entries into the VegBox and Ooffoo "recipes" listings, with extra eco points awarded for veggie and strictly seasonal submissions.

Here are some from us to get the juices flowing:

Radish and Lettuce Sarnies

Grilled Apple and Cheese Sandwich
Cauliflower and Chick pea Pitta Pockets
The Ultimate Late-Night, Crunchy, Craving-Buster: Peanut Butter and Bananas on Oatcakes

And here are the feature entries from the 2009 "Sandwich-Off".

Over to you, Sandwich Lovers!

I’m rather partial to egg and tomatoe sandwiches – free range and organic of course. I also like goats cheese with rocket, sundried tomatoes, black olives and pesto on ciabatta bread. And I like brie and cranberry in a baguette. You’ve got me thinking…and my mouth is watering now! :P
